<BR>The symposium also aims to stimulate debate through a series of panel discussions on issues such as access to care and the cost of ARV in developing countries. An expert faculty of speakers from Australia, Europe, Asia, Africa and USA presents a comprehensive review of current HIV management. 			<description><![CDATA[<p><b><i>The National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS</i></b> is a call to prayer for the eradication of HIV/AIDS through prayer, education, advocacy and service.  It is the coming together of all people of faith to unite with purpose, compassion and hope to do the following: </p><ul><li class="li1">Educate every American about AIDS facts; </li><li class="li1">Encourage and support HIV Testing; </li><li class="li1">Advocate for the availability of compassionate care and treatment for all those living with the disease in every community in America and </li><li class="li1">Love, unconditionally, every person living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. </li></ul><p class="m1_text">We, members of faith communities, are a diverse group of believers.  Often, we struggle through our differences and far too many times, we retreat and live behind walls that divide us from our fellow believers. </p><p class="m1_text">Prayer is the mystical truth of Divine Love that is common to all believers.  Right now in this moment, I invite all believers to step forward beyond the walls that divide us into the circle of conscious prayer for the healing of AIDS.  Let us not allow the issues that divide us to prevent us from entering into a circle of prayer and education with all of our brothers and sisters. Let us seek divine guidance for our own individual and congregational paths toward AIDS awareness, advocacy and service.  </p><p class="m1_text">I am a descendant of a long lineage of believers who taught their children, and their children's children, that <b><i>Prayer Changes Things!</i></b> I believe in the Power of Prayer! I believe in the Power of Education and Service! CROI is a scientifically focused meeting of the world’s leading researchers working to understand, prevent, and treat HIV/AIDS and its complications. <br /><br />The goal of CROI is to provide a forum for translating laboratory and clinical research into progress against the AIDS epidemic. To keep the conference conducive to formal and informal scientific exchange, registration is limited to researchers actively participating as investigators in basic science or clinical studies of retroviral diseases and their complications and clinician-teachers (full-time academic faculty members responsible for HIV/AIDS training and research programs). <br /><br />Ninety percent of the meeting- including abstracts, posters, and Web casts of oral sessions- will be available online at <a href="http://www.retroconference.org">www.retroconference.org</a>. <br /><br />The subjects that will be highlighted are: virology; molecular epidemiology; HIV immunology; pathogenesis and immunopathogenesis; neuropathogenesis and neurologic complications; HIV transmission and primary/acute infection; gene therapy, immune-based therapies, and vaccines; human genomics; antiretroviral therapy (preclinical, randomized clinical trials, observational studies, and complications); HIV drug resistance; clinical pharmacology; complications of HIV infection; tuberculosis and opportunistic infections; hepatitis viruses; AIDS-related malignancies; pediatrics/adolescents; maternal/fetal; HIV in women/women's health; HIV clinical diagnostics; epidemiology of HIV infection; sexually transmitted infections; prevention studies; and research on delivery of care in developing countries. <br /><br />CROI 2012 will feature the 17th Bernard Fields Lecture, the 6th N'Galy-Mann Lecture, plenary lectures that will be highly scientific in nature, roundtable symposia that will present and debate controversial scientific issues, several hundred original oral and poster abstract presentations of new data, and late breakers that will consist of important preliminary research findings.]]></description>
